HEY, I’M COURTNEY

Thanks for stopping in! I am the eye behind the lens, the owner, the creator and the vision behind Poppies + Pines Photography.  

The core of my business is I shoot what I feel. I want you to look at my images and feel something. Feel the joy, the laughter, the love…The human connection is something to be cherished. I love to capture natural organic emotions through prompts and candid’s. What I like about photographs is that they capture todays little moments, that become tomorrows precious memories. 

My life partner passed away on 2/27/22, since that moment on I have looked at life a whole lot differently. You cherish the connections, those photos you have with them, because thats all I have left. If you follow me on my socials once in a while you’ll see me make posts that say “JUST TAKE THE PHOTOS”. Its coming from my expereiences. If you feel like a mess, you have been working really hard, or you feel overwhelmed, you dont have time to plan and organize the session…those little hands and feet grow so fast, life is ever changing. Take them! I will help you through every step of the way.

I grew up in the rolling hills of Hunterdon County, NJ. No, we do not fist pump there, and no I dont talk like im straight outta the sopranos. In my “free” time you can find me outdoors, hiking, hunting, sitting along the river or stargazing.  I have a dog who I defintley will say she is my CHILD and is with me 24/7. God has blessed me with a second chance at love, with a wonderful man named Chris. He is my rock.

When I was living in Jersey still, I had about 40 chickens, so I also am a crazy chicken lady! I love plants, I love to garden, and I do enjoy canning. I love cooking & baking. I am infact in my sourdough era.
